AMA-SYSTEMS GMBH was founded 1976 and had its roots in trading and engineering for industrial automation. Over the years AMA established itself in the Open Communications Standards Market and evolved into a strong player with strategic partners: development of customer-specific software applications for manufacturing processes started in the 1990s and since year 2000 AMA-SYSTEMS has entered the energy market, providing specialized IT services, with software, hardware and solutions.

With almost four decades of experiences, AMA-SYSTEMS today unites outstanding competences in industrial automation, information and communication technologies serving customers in the energy and manufacturing industry as well as in the machine and plant manufacturing realm. One particular focus of AMA-SYSTEMS is communication in the energy industry. We provide products and services for the industry standards and protocols IEC 60870-6/ICCP/TASE.2 and IEC 61850 / IEC 61400-25 and support our customers from the HW up to Enterprise Data warehouses. At the core of this business lies the Europe-wide distribution and support of software products of internationally renowned vendors. Based on these products AMA-SYSTEMS offers gateways, tools, trainings, certification and consulting - especially for smart grid technology, conformance tests and software libraries.

In DNV we unite the strengths and expertise of DNV, Garrad Hassan, and GL Renewables Certification. We deliver world-renowned testing, certification and advisory services to the energy value chain including renewables and energy efficiency. Our testing, certification and advisory services are delivered independent from each other.

DNV experts support utilities and manufacturers around intelligent networks and communication such as SCADA EMS/DMS, substation automation, smart metering, and data communication. For data communication we provide services for communication standards and models such as IEC 61850, IEC 60870, CIM and DNP3, and the smart meter standard DLMS/Cosem. For all these standards DNV provides consultancy, training, test tools such as protocol analyzers, simulators and conformance test facilities and testing services.

GridClone, a Dutch company, was founded with the objective to provide high quality and flexible simulators for IEC 61850 based substation automation and power systems.

With the introduction of IEC 61850 advanced testing tools and simulators will be needed by utilities, system integrators and manufacturers of power system equipment. These tools and simulators will support the verification of the conformity and functionality of the integrated system and its components.

GridClone has professionals that have gained many years of experience in the power system domain, conformance testing of IEC 61850 devices and systems and development of IEC 61850 software test tools.
