|  | CIM definition I'm not an expert in the field by any means, but I did notice in sections 1.1 and 2 that CIM is defined as the "Customer Information Model". However, I read from the CIMug homepage the following:
"Unlike a protocol standard, the common information model (CIM) is an abstract model ..."
