Smiti Sharma is the Principal Technologist in the Global CTO Office, Greenplum. In this role, she is involved with Strategic projects that architect the Big Data vision and products of EMC. She also works with customers, Application partners and Service providers, to architect and deploy Big Data Industry solutions.

Over the past 12 years, Smiti has architected and managed complex critical enterprise solutions. She has focused on High transaction processing, Analytics & Data warehousing, ERP applications, Security and Business continuance among others. She has extensive knowledge and expertise in building Information Architectures in the cloud as well.

Prior to joining Greenplum EMC, she spent almost 7 years at Oracle, working extensively on Oracle’s Technology products and Exadata, in the field and Product Management aspects. She holds a graduate degree in Electrical engineering and an MBA in information management. She has been a regular speaker in the technical world contributing to the Oracle User Group, EMC User Group and Big Data Community.
