David Ball is Managing Director of American Electric Power’s Transmission Operations organization with operations centers and personnel in New Albany, Ohio, Roanoke, Virginia, Shreveport, Louisiana and Corpus Christi, Texas.  David has been with American Electric Power (AEP) or its operating companies since 1989. He has held many positions with increasing responsibility in protection system commissioning, protection system maintenance, substation operation, substation construction, substation equipment maintenance, protection system engineering, transmission dispatching and transmission operations.

David received the B.S.E.E. degree in electrical engineering from West Virginia University Institute of Technology (’89), the M.B.A. degree from Marshall University (’94) and is a registered professional engineer in the state of Ohio.
