ERDA (Electrical Research and Development Association), established in 1974 is a premier independent R&D Institute in India having various laboratories involved in R&D, Expert Services, testing, Field Services, Inspection and calibration activities.
ERDA facilities include High Voltage laboratories, Low voltage laboratories, Short Circuit Laboratories (AC & DC), Energy Meters (type testing of all kinds of electricity meters according to all relevant international standards including Smart Meters using CTT 4.2 standard edition from DLMS user association), IEC 61850 communication protocol laboratory, EMIEMC Laboratory, HTLS Conductor laboratory, Rotating Machines Laboratory, Solar PV Module Laboratory, Cable (up to 220 kV Class) Laboratory etc.
ERDA has all the necessary accreditations from National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) of India (as per ISO/IEC/IS 17025), which is a signatory to ILAC mutual recognition arrangement internationally. ERDA, an ASTA approved laboratory, is also approved as Third Party Independent Testing Laboratory from organizations like KAHRAMAA (Qatar), DEWA (Dubai) and TNB (Malaysia). ERDA today caters to more than 10,000 customers in India as well as Overseas Market for their various testing, calibration, inspection and research requirement.
